we rarely get to focus on a single thing and drive it to completion in out busy, bustling, distracted lives.

Yesterday, I participated in the 100 Kata Challenge. It's just like it sounds. We get together as a dojo at Mystic Dojo - Yamashita International Karate and all did 100 kata.

We do kata all the time, but what made this special was that we had set a specific, measurable goal and that the goal could be achieved by iteration.

My friend Daniel GreenWolf shared a concept of #CanYouCount along these same lines. That you can achieve anything if you can break it down into repeatable steps.

What made this event so great was that for four hours we were focused on one thing. No Facebook. No email. No phone calls. Just kata and company of others doing the same thing.

We are not built to multitask. It causes anxiety. It is why so many of us feel so much stress.

Where you can find an opportunity to fully engage into an activity, set a goal and hit it?
