From the unsolved Santa Rosa hitchhiker murders to Kai the hatchet-wielding hitchhiker to the infamous Münsterland murders, tales of serial killers hunting the open road have gripped us for decades. 

The Aachen Strangler of Germany is a lesser-known monster known for kidnapping and killing young, female hitchhikers during the 1970s and ‘80s.
