Every single day we all face temptation of some sort. Perhaps it is pressure from the world to deviate from some aspect of your faith. Perhaps it is to fall to some sort of sin. Or perhaps it is simply to doubt your self worth facing a perfect Creator...
Whatever the struggle is, Jesus faced it.
Today, Jim Barnhart takes us to Matthew 4, where we take a look at a 40 day period where Jesus faced temptation beyond anything we could ever face. The Devil, quoting scripture, even tries to offer Jesus a path circumventing the cross. But in this time of trial, Jesus did not waver in His commitment and trust in the Father's plan.
And this bold defense gives us the direction we should take when we face temptation ourself. How can we overcome it? How can we come out triumphant? How can we discover the way out?
Jim explores this and more as we take a look at "The Temptation of Jesus and it's implication for us"

We are a Bible-Based, Jesus Only small community church located in rural South-East Minnesota. Our building was originally constructed in 1861 and is the oldest protestant church building in continuous use in our county.
Many people have come and gone throughout the generations, but our goal will always remain: To Serve Jesus only, and learn from His Living Word, the Scriptures.
Our small church body are all admittedly sinners, that openly strive to improve our walk daily, but also understand that we are Redeemed by the shed blood of Christ Jesus and declared innocent in God’s eyes due to Grace Alone!
There is no act of baptism, charity or observation of communion that deems us worthy. No amount of following the law of Moses, or the ever-popular observation of legalism in many churches today that will save us. That is us believing in ourselves, rather than what Christ did for us completely.
If you struggle with understanding the concept of salvation or are plagued by false teachings of following traditions rather than Christ alone, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We would love to help!
Please watch our archive of messages on a variety of topics. Please like and share our content with others that can benefit from what God has inspired our array of speakers to bring to the body.
Most importantly, be sure you are secure in your relationship with God and Christ Jesus. It is so simple. Do not wait. Tomorrow may be too late…
