It's been too long. Again! I am now back with an all new conversation with the prolific, expressive, writer/producer/musician/illustrator Nick Thorburn. Many may be familiar as lead of The Unicorns, then Islands, then Mister Heavenly - yet today we spoke in support of his new and first graphic novel 'Penguins'. It's a series of intern-connected short strips. Upon recording this talk I had yet to see it - so after I took the subway to Manhattan, walked to The Strand and bought it. I read it over a glass of rose at generic wine bar in the East Village. I guess I've had a relatively stressful month with some light-weight anxiety, which may or may not carrying over into the intro and general tone of my convo. But I think what came out of it, was a revealing, personal talk with Nick. It was therapy for both of us.
