The Tales We Tell

Ep. 96: The Wonnangatta Murders

Listen Later

In the remote outback of Australia in 1917, Jim Barclay lived a simple and modest life, tending cattle and managing the Wonnangatta homestead. Until one day, he didn't. This week, Hannah tells Katy about the mystery of the Wonnangatta murders, a pair of killings that baffled Australians then, and now. The girls talk about whether "surly" is a good descriptor for Katy and her future as the neighborhood witch, why Thelma the horse was running around naked, and most importantly, why was there strychnine in the pepper?!? (Spoiler alert, we actually never resolve that one.)

Get your detective hats out for this one, and take notes for this Unsolved Mystery!
