When giving advice to a loved one, it is so easy to reassure them that “it’s okay to give yourself a break” or “you don’t have to be feeling up to it all of the time.” However, when it comes to giving ourselves the same feedback, we become less inclined to be supportive or to be an activist for our own lives.
