EP. 16 The Top Headlines in Crypto and Blockchain News!

8-1-18

From CTWD This is Dean Kirkland with BlockBytes!  Presented by DASH. Made for payments, DASH is the ultimate digital currency for both brick-and-mortar and online merchants.

Here are the TOP Headlines in Crypto / Blockchain News on Wednesday the 1st of August 2018,

-The bitcoin price was able to locate a support channel at the 100-day exponential moving average (EMA), as reported by Crypto Daily. This after a sharp decline from the $8,300 level. While BTC couldn’t hold the 200-day EMA, it was able to locate support at the 100 EMA, at least for a while. Bitcoin’s relative strength index suggests that oversold dynamics will persist prior to the next rally or downward trend.

-ETH has fallen into a bearish trendline and yesterday the altcoin dropped below $465, breaking the $440 and $425 supports along the way. Currently there are 2 bearish trendlines with resistance near $430 and near the 50% Fib retracement level at $442. These former supports will now serve as stiff resistance levels and technical charts suggest that a decline below $420 is likely. The hourly MACD is in bearish territory while the RSI approaches oversold territory.

-The latest news about former U.S. President Bill Clinton headlining an upcoming Ripple event has taken the Twittersphere by storm. Mr. Clinton will be the keynote speaker at Ripple’s Swell 2018 conference in San Francisco, which is scheduled for early October. Twitter users were quick to respond with witty memes, ranging from images of the Satoshi Nakamoto that Newsweek erroneously named as the bitcoin inventor to tweets featuring “Game of Thrones” and other more off-color memes.

-Forrester Research Inc., a global advisory company has determined that 90% of the blockchain pilots conducted by corporate companies will fail to materialize. The biggest reason behind this is that most companies want to run their own private blockchain instead of using publicly available ones. Companies are facing difficulties in performance, oversight, and reaching a consensus. However, companies like IBM and Microsoft have been making a push for Blockchain because they consider it an important revenue stream in the near future.
