Jason, AKA “Frozen” to the hiking community, is a backpacker, thru-hiker, and YouTuber. Getting into backpacking through a friend, he started documenting his adventures in 2014. After building up a loyal following on his YouTube Channel “Outdoor Adventures” for a few years, Frozen decided to quit his comfortable job working in IT to finally thru-hike the Appalachian Trail in 2019. According to his Patreon page, Frozen is looking to complete the Pacific Crest Trail in 2024. Today we’re going to learn about his journey as a backpacker, talk gear, and following your dreams. The eager son of an endurance athlete, Hunter set his first World Record by becoming the Youngest Finisher of the 24 Hour National Championship at the age of 11 and has since set records and FKTs in expedition racing, adventure racing, mountain biking endurance races, and Ultrarunning. Recently he summited the highest peaks of each state in 42 days (beating the record), and just became the fastest to ever run 200 miles across Florida in 63 hours, and 52 minutes.
