Today's guest is returning for her second time on the show AND happens to be one of my best friends on the planet, Samantha Skelly. Sam specializes in helping women recover from binge eating and in this episode we dive into that as well as other binge and restrictive behaviors. We talk about the resistance and coping mechanism aspect of these behaviors, why we develop them in the first place, how to love the parts of ourselves that choose those things. We also got into radical transformation and what it actually means, takes, and requires (hint: we're not quick fix or band aid on bullet wound type people, we're talking LONG TERM, sustainable strategies here.) We also spent a lot of time talking about shame, so whether or not binge eating is a thing for you - you can apply what we cover in today's episode to a variety of contexts. Enjoy!
