What if I gave you a behind the scenes look at how bills are put through into law from a man who served with the 115thCongress from 2017 to 2910?

Well, in this episode, that’s exactly what I’m going to do!

In this episode, I’m giving you food for thought as to how HR professionals address and respond to changes in employment law, as well as a peek into the current Congress deliberations on pending law.

An example of a Bill that has been introduced is highlighted below.

S.3256 - Schedules That Work Act

To permit employees to request changes to their work schedules without fear of retaliation and to ensure that employers consider these requests, and to require employers to provide more predictable and stable schedules for employees in certain occupations with evidence of unpredictable and unstable scheduling practices that negatively affect employees, and for other purposes.

My interview with The Honorable Scott Taylor brings real-world legislative experience to the conversation, and provides listeners with a closer look and understanding of how laws are created in the United States.

I also provide a PSA to employers that effective May 1, 2020 employers must use the new I-9 Form and you can read about it by clicking here.
