-After announcing support for Tron early this year, the popular adult streaming service PornHub has finally started accepting the cryptocurrency. The website has over 90 Million users each day, and the integration of Tron is expected to help it build a more robust customer base. Users will be able to pay for PornHub Premium using Tron.

ZhongAn Technology, a publicly listed subsidiary of China's web-only insurer, ZhongAn Insurance has announced the launch of its gem tracking application to achieve a higher level of traceability in the luxury industry. It is built on ZhongAn's custom blockchain network and hosted on its Anlink cloud platform. According to CEO Zhang Yongwen, information about 760,000 diamonds has already been uploaded to its network, which provides double insurance in addition to the traditional certificates

Yang Chin-long, the governor of Taiwan's central bank at a recent event criticized cryptocurrencies. He said they cannot hold any value because they lack the trust element held by traditional fiat currencies. He went on to say that it is not ideal for day-to-day transactions because they are volatile and can only be used for illicit transactions due to the lack of proper regulation. Taiwan's stance on Cryptocurrency is not yet clear. Back in 2013, the central bank had stated Cryptocurrencies cannot be considered as legal tender.

Kin-Wai Lau, the CEO of Internet group Fatfist in a recent interview with CNBC said he is confident that the SEC would eventually approve Bitcoin ETFs. He said Bitcoin's core is its functionality which would not affect its price. ETFs would just help meet the organic demand for this new asset class. As countries around the world regulate cryptocurrencies, the demand for Bitcoin is bound to go up

Bitmain is set to increase its foothold on the American cryptocurrency scene by opening a new mining and data processing centre in a small Texas town called Rockdale. The mining center will be built in a recently closed coal fire power plant and aluminium smelter and the multimillion dollar investment is set to create 300 to 500 new jobs which is significant for a town with a population of 5,861. Construction has already begun and the site is set to open in autumn of 2019. To date, Bitmain has already hired staff in Arizona and Washington and last year they opened a 20,000 sq. foot facility in Silicon Valley.
