Nodes and Noise

EP001_Why I'm starting this at midnight

Listen Later

In the very first episode of Nodes and Noise, I share the real reason behind starting this podcast—and why it began with a late-night reflection rather than a carefully crafted plan.

As an architect transitioning into computational design and AI, I've spent countless hours learning new tools, experimenting with workflows, and trying to build a career that feels more aligned with my curiosity and creativity. Yet despite the progress, I often find myself questioning whether I'm moving in the right direction.

This episode explores the tension many architects and designers face: balancing demanding project work with the desire to learn, experiment, and grow. I talk about burnout, the pressure to constantly upskill, the comparison trap that comes with social media, and the feeling of being stuck even when you're actively learning.

Most importantly, I explain why this podcast exists—not as a platform for expertise, but as a space for honest conversations about computational design, AI, architecture, creativity, career transitions, and the messy process of figuring things out.

If you're an architect learning computational design, exploring AI, or simply trying to reconnect with your creative side, this episode is for you.

Welcome to Nodes and Noise.
