We met Allison while interviewing historian Sarah Bellian. She tagged along and we actually ended up nerding out with her for nearly an hour before we started our interview with Sarah.

We became fast friends and would say this is one of our favorite episodes thus far. She's studying freshwater mussels in the Village Creek, a spring-fed stream that is a part of the Big Thicket ecosystem. We talk about these animals and how they're being effected by climate change events and civil engineering projects.
