EP:012 Revolutionist, Mom, and Author, Jacqueline von Edelberg: Remaking Education

Listen Later

You may have heard of Jacqueline von Edelberg, the woman who overhauled an underperforming Chicago school and lived to tell about it. She has been featured on CNN, NPR and Oprah and Friends for her revitalization efforts behind the once fledgling Nettlehorst School. It was this experience that led Jacqueline to co-author the book, How to Walk to School: a Blue Print for a Neighborhood School Renaissance. Now, as the Director of Dabble Kids, an online platform that offers hyperlocal enrichment activities for families and their children, she continues a legacy in broadening opportunity, engagement, and person-to- person connection (in an otherwise web-based world).

Jacqueline possesses an uncanny ability to bring others together for the common good. For this reason alone, Jacqueline is simply an awe-inspiring person with plenty of sage wisdom to share. It also makes her the perfect guest for this episode of Inflection Point.
