He has 20+ years of experience in education at all levels, elementary to university. In his search for creating a space for all students to have a powerful voice, Dr. Medina earned his doctorate, titled, Sacred Purpose. Sacred Purpose seeks to connect trauma informed practices and the restorative approaches. In our discussion he frames how teachers see students, using the indigenous story of Tezcatlipoca.
