Join host Joey Chou as he dives into socio-economic issues faced by Taiwan, and their broader impact beyond the reefs of this island nation.
Last year, Taiwan officially arrived on the Olympic breaking stage. For the first time ever, breaking—better known as breakdancing—is an Olympic event, and Taiwanese b-boys and b-girls are competing against the best in the world at the 2024 Paris Games. This moment has been years in the making. Taiwan has long had a thriving street dance scene, and now, the world is finally taking notice. But this isn’t just a story about Taiwan. It’s part of something bigger—how street culture, born in one part of the world, travels, evolves, and makes an impact far beyond its origins.

Today, I’m joined by Jason, a Taiwanese-Canadian street dancer Jason Huang and two hustle dancers from Prague, David and Julie.
