Like many of you, Chris started his entrepreneurial journey because he had no other choice. 

He was laid off from his consultancy job in late 2008.  Soon after, he realized quickly he was not the only one in his scenario. He then longed for a community of people like him who could build one another up, learn from each other and prove self worth together. 

He began by creating "meetups" and conferences full of people just like him. This is where Laid Off Camp (Chris' first full time entrepreneurship venture) began. 

From this point on, Chris took entrepreneurship on full time and sprinted quickly. 

He went on to found Milk (sold to Google) and Oink (mobile app). 

Chris then moved on to spend several years assisting in seed investing for startups (like yours), and founded Grove two years ago. 

Chris relates Grove as a "personal trainer" for your wealth and is dedicated to helping millennovator's (like you) to finally do something with your wealth. 

Why is this finally doing something with your wealth important?

Throughout this interview, Chris shared how he could have never founded either of his businesses without cash savings. Point being - you need a coach to help save your wealth so that you can take advantage of business opportunities. It's that simple. 

Chris' #1 piece of advice for you is to not go at it alone. Find a partner, or even hire an employee early (here's a great resource to find one) that you can rely on and grow with. When things get tough (and they will) you need someone who is just as invested as you are.
