You are in the lab this week with Elizabeth Thompson, a PhD candidate in Pharmacy and who is currently involved with cannabinoid therapeutics. Elizabeth is a registered trained exercise physiologist and has competed in body building shows prior to her research in cannabis. She is currently working on a project that dives into the concussive history of individuals involved in contact sports. We breakdown the science of how concussions disrupt our nervous system and understand the benefits of the endocannabinoid system within us to regulate traumatic brain injuries.
