The government has outlined 12 key strategies to achieve this, focusing on areas like renewable energy, hydrogen development, energy storage, and carbon capture technologies. These initiatives are designed to transform Taiwan's energy landscape and reduce its reliance on fossil fuels.

But the clock is ticking. Taiwan’s roadmap to net-zero by 2050 is promising, but promises alone don’t reduce emissions.
