Richard Hobbs is a West Point graduate and retired combat infantry kernel who has worked in the Pentagon and the Middle East bureau of the State Department. He is also a very successful author, including of several books on the Muslim world including Death by a Thousand Cuts, The Myth of Victory and his most recent work Islam versus Civilization. We discuss the history of the Middle East and how past wars, religion and politics continues to make this the most complex region of the world.
