Prometheus is a small moon of Saturn.

In mythology, Prometheus is a Titan of Greek mythology who stole fire from the gods to give it to humanity, allowing humans to progress.

For this act, he defied Zeus and suffered a harsh eternal punishment.

He represents altruism because he sacrifices himself for the good of humanity, putting others before his own suffering.

Being altruistic means feeling a duty to help others, because all human beings are part of the same universal community. Good is done without expecting rewards, out of moral duty and consistency with virtue. In fact, altruism is a direct expression of a virtuous and good soul. It is not blind sacrifice, but a balanced way of acting, in which the good of others also contributes to one’s own fulfillment.
