Why I'm Making My 6 Year Old Pay Rent

How do you teach your children about money? In this episode of Adding Up The Podcast I share the moment I realised I needed to start teaching my children about money and its various uses. Money is so much more than earning and spending, how do you convey that lesson when your 6 and 7 year olds are fixated on buying Pokemon cards? The struggle is real.

We have started a weekly chores regime and provided the chores are completed each week they are earning $6 per week. We are using the Spriggy App to help manage and monitor their pocket money.
