It is the lesser well known cousin of the placebo effect, the Mr.Hyde to placebo's Dr Jekyll, the yin and yang of clinical mysteries, the nocebo effect seems to make people actually, physically sick for no medical reason.

It is a result of the super complicated interaction between the patient, their expectations, the drug, the surrounding context, the healthcare provider, and the way the information is delivered and received. Join me as we try to unravel this mysterious phenomenon!
