Surrender! We are breaking down the meaning of this word and how we can apply it in our marriage. What does it look like to go with the flow in your marriage? Does your current season require you to surrender? In this episode we challenge you to think through these questions and the definition of surrender.
In this Heart to Heart we discuss:
The act of surrender.
1. to yield to the power, control, or possession of another upon compulsion or demand
- It’s Required: Sometimes you’re relationship or circumstance requires surrender.
2. to give up completely or agree to forgo especially in favor of another
- It’s Agreeable: Agreeing in favor of your spouse is not a bad thing (Best interest & big picture)
3. to give (oneself) up into the power of another especially as a prisoner
- It’s Strategic: What are you avoiding feeling captive of? (Prisoner of someone else’s good idea. Is this a good strategic move?
4. to give (oneself) over to something (such as an influence)
- It’s Key: Surrender as an act of faith. (What is life creating through you that you may be resisting?)
