Ever wanted to know what it takes to do a PhD? In this episode, we go international talking with Daniel Stumpf in Germany. Daniel talks to us about his almost 10 year academic career and the lessons he's learnt along the way. A lot the advice he shares is super applicable across the board so I'd definitely recommend a listen!
Daniel studied technical Biology at the Technical University in Darmstadt/Germany from 2012 until 2017 and started a PhD afterwards in a big Science Research Institute in Göttingen/Germany. During his time in academia, he got involved in several science-based projects and experienced both sides of the coin of becoming a scientist: from meeting interesting and passionate people from all over the world over realizing that grades (only) kind of matter to developing resilience skills to manage one‘s own (high) expectations.
