Today I speak to the godlike genius and Scottish hero Alan McGee. Alan of course started Creation records after coming down to London from Glasgow in the 80s. Alan is a real hero of mine and of many of you and he brought us the bands that defined the 90s and music/popular culture in general including Oasis, Primal Scream, Ride, Jesus and Mary Chain, Teenage Fanclub, BMX Bandits, My Bloody Valentine, House of Love and laterally records from St Etienne, Bernard Butler and Hurricane #1 - the list goes on and on.
