The Hello Composers Podcast

Hello Composers!

What is Mixed Meter in composing? Have you ever used it?

Have I ever used it? (Spoiler alert: I have and you’ll hear some of that today.)

Well, welcome to the “Hello Composers Podcast Episode #1”. I’ve been waiting to start this podcast when I had a solid idea.

I’ve thought about putting the next Mastermind up as a podcast, or other ideas, but what this podcast will be is a weekly focus on a compositional style, genre, or term and then I will show you some examples of these things in my compositional output.

I write in a multitude of styles so it certainly wont be the same thing every week.

This podcast is a little different from my Make Music Income podcast which is live and a loose banter with either a guest host and/or LIVE with the viewers. I go through my week there, talk about some news, and other silly things… so if you want news, and what my week has been like, you can go there and get that on The Make Music Income Channels.

But this program is definitely more carefully scripted for the podcast listener. It’s going to be actual music in this podcast and I’m going to play the entire piece when I talk about a piece. So if you are in the car driving down the road or wherever you listen to podcasts, this will be “music to your ears.”

See what I did there?

I will also broadcast a video version which will feature scores of the music, so if you hear something you like you can go over to the Hello Composers YouTube channel and watch the score go by. And I also will link music videos and scores if I have them of certain songs there as well.
