As I move through the loss of a 17 year relationship I am flooded with many emotions. Deep sadness, acceptance - understanding and the realization that I left this relationship 3 years ago.
As we begin to heal - shift - and grow the dynamics of our relationships needs to as well. The issue is - we don't always see it and sometimes we only notice when it is too late - or too far gone. I see the many things we did right as a couple - and I see all the things we could have done differently. I recognize the ways I tried and I understand how love is not always enough.
