Orson Welles was both host and narrator of stories based on Scotland Yard's collection of murder weapons and various ordinary objects once associated with historical true crime cases.This is the first episode from that series.

Events at a party seem typical, until a gunshot is heard. The prime suspect is Mrs Davis who claims she had nothing to do with it, and is distraught over the killing.
