Raffaella Falchi-Macias, founder and artistic director of Sambaxé, a Brazilian dance company rooted in community, culture, and Carnaval tradition. Raffaella is a dancer, educator, a mother, and architect, whose work bridges; movement, design, and Afro-Brazilian heritage. Alongside her hubby Alfie Macias, who’s is musical director, percussionist, and an amazing musician. Together they celebrate 20+ years of sharing Brazilian culture through dance classes, percussion classes, performances, music and dance retreats. We recorded this episode at one of their  youth art exchange studios in SF. We had some good laughs and tender moments on this episode so I hope you enjoy this one.
