About The Book:
Oliver Bennet who feels trapped by the endless corsets, skirts, and petticoats because the whole world views him as Elizabeth Bennet. Because of this he is forced to mingle at balls wearing pretty dresses, and is soon expected to find a husband and become someone’s wife.
But Oliver can’t bear the thought of such a fate, so at night he sneaks out dressed as a young gentleman, exploring the city. Except while he is out on his outing he runs into Mr. Darcy. A sulky young man who has been rude to “Elizabeth” at a recent social function, but Oliver realizes that there is more to Mr. Darcy then he first thought. Out of the public eye, Oliver finds that Mr. Darcy is a sweet, intelligent boy with a warm heart, not to mention attractive.
As Oliver spends more time as his true self, he dares to dream for love and a life as man. But as suitors become bolder, even threating, and his mother pushing him towards an engagement. Oliver must choose, to settle for safety, security, and a life of pretending to be someone he’s not, or risk it all for a slim chance at freedom, love, and a life that is truly his own.
