Using the five NT occurrences of the Greek noun paraklētos, (Jn. 14:16; 14:26; 15:26; 16:7–8; and 1 John 2:1), God gives us provisions for the five basic difficulties in the Christian life. This is the third: God has made provision for our lack of power and effectivenss.
