This episode does not hold back! With the help of Fara, I talk about unexpressed anger and the havoc it wreaks on one's system, as well as the important difference between anger and violence.
We explore the role that anger has in a person or being's becoming, using examples from Fara's life to paint a picture of how being unapologetic about this oft-demonized emotion can lead to immense growth and change. I also delve into the relationship between anger / loss of autonomy / control / being forced and how honouring the energy and offering witnessing to the anger allows for self-compassion and an understanding that for better or worse, violence is a natural reaction to a situation that is beyond a reasonable threshold.
Fara is an embodied reminder of how the sensitive ones are here to break down the violent systems. Instead of externalizing or internalizing violence, what if you could find ways to see your anger and love it with deep respect and gratitude? Expression is medicine, and empowerment comes from saying exactly how you feel, even if it's just to yourself.
This conversation is here to encourage you to update your relationship with anger, so you can go from forcing it away to finding the freedom it is calling you toward.
