Wholehearted Loving

Ep12 | Knowing What You Need and Want | Learning Discernment

Listen Later

We all have limitations and constraints, and they are not a reflection of our love or care. When we recognize this, we learn not to take things so personally. When we recognize this, we learn to discern who can help us in the moment – which friend to call, where to get the support you need. You can absolutely fill your bucket, and there are people who can help you fill it. There are also people who can’t – but maybe they can help you hold the bucket, or repair the hole in the bucket, or maybe they feed you or help in other ways. This is our invitation not to pigeon-hole the people who love you.

Knowing what you want and need is an important part of living a fulfilling life. It's also important to be able to communicate, AND to be understanding and compassionate for the limitations of others.

In this episode we talk about all of the above, and making meaning from our lives and our stories.
