The hosers go East to have a sit down with Rick Marchand of Wilderknives. This week we sat down with Rick Marchand of Wildertools. Located in Lunenberg, Nova Scotia, Canada
Rick has been at the forefront of the Canadian knife making scene for quite some time now. Studying under Waley Hayes during the time he resided in Ontario. Rick works with all sorts of mediums and thus makes almost everything he does with his own hands. Leather, wood, ferrous and non ferrous metals. This guy is busy as heck and you can see from his work that this man is about as dedicated as you can get.
This wasn't a short episode and as always we could have kept going. We are sincerely enjoying ourselves. Maybe too much as you will hear a lot of laughs on this episode. It helps that Rick is practically the Grand Daddy of Dad jokes and comes in with a very welcoming demeanour. If you have ever met Rick you know exactly what I am talking about. Take a listen and find out for yourself just how great this guy is and just how much the boys from forge side chat like to drink too much beer. Twice. In metric.
