The Episode: Chris VanBrenk is Originally from Sacramento,CA . He went to college for political science and a minor in classical literature. He got into the military as an Infantry officer in 2008. After graduating US Army Ranger school he took command of an infantry platoon and deployed to Iraq. When he got home he went into Special Forces. He became a Captain and took over command of Operational Detachment Alpha- A team. He took his team overseas to Afghanistan then eventually took a 3 man team to North Africa.
After his time in service with the military he became a fitness coach. He also runs a blog called https://morphineandmindfulness.com/
