Este mixtape rinde homenaje a una de las más grandes "backing bands" del roots reggae, los fabulosos "Roots Radics". Formada en 1978 por el bajista Errol "Flabba" Holt, el guitsrrista Erick "Binghi Bunny" Lamont y el baterista Lincoln "Style" Scott, quienes luego integraron a más músicos como los guitarristas Noel "Sowell" Bailey, Dwight Pinkney ySteve Golding, el teclista Wycliffe "Steelie" Johnson, el pianista Gladstone "Gladdy" Anderson y el saxofonista Headley Bennett.

Esta agrupación acompañó a grandes artistas como Gregory Isaacs, Israel Vibration, Bunny Wailer, Wailing Souls, Don Carlos, Yellowman, Eek-A-Mouse, Johnny Osbourne, John Holt, Freddie McGregor y muchos más.

Los inicios de esta alianza se remontan a su trabajo en conjunto como backing band para el estudio y sello "Channel One" como "The Revolutionaries", luego "Flabba" y "Bingy Bunny" integraron The Morwells y The Arabs ( acompañando a Prince Far I) para posteriormente convertirse en lo que se conoce como "The Roots Radics".
