John Pattersons and his two brothers Will and Joe opened a bar and restaurant  in the strip district called the BeerHive in 2011. When conventional pickles were not meeting their needs the brothers decided to start making their own. Before you know it, they struck a deal with Giant Eagle, the face of Pittsburgh grocery stores, and Pittsburgh Pickle Co was born.
