I find that some of the most successful people on social media are those who truly open themselves up to the world and let people know who they are and what they stand for. 

I don't mean people who grandstand and make controversial statements for the sake of garnering attention. I'm talking about people who have the courage to share honest opinions, ideas and perspectives knowing that they won’t be accepted or liked by everyone. 

But they do it because it’s important to them to stand up for what they believe in. It takes conviction to find your voice and push through obstacles that can keep you from getting an important message out to the world. 

Today, I want to share my story with you, and hopefully inspire you to take the leap too.
