Ecaterina Matoi is a Program Director at the Middle East Political and Economic Institute (MEPEI) from Bucharest, Romania, and an independent political, security, and intelligence advisor.
She holds a Ph.D. in Intelligence and National Security („Carol I” National Defense University, Bucharest, Romania), a Ph.D. in Near and Middle Eastern Studies (Humanities Faculty, Basel University, Switzerland), an M.A. degree in Political Sciences, Security and Diplomacy specialization (National University of Political Studies and Public Administration / NUPSPA, Bucharest, Romania)., and various certifications in propaganda, terrorism, social media, nuclear terrorist threats, etc.
Throughout her professional and academic career, she has focused her attention on the Middle East and North Africa, without losing sight in particular of the areas of Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia, the Horn of Africa, and the Sahel. She can be reached on LinkedIn.
