The rite of passage to adulthood for many of us is likely going to college or university. There is a common saying that university is going to be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life; from shaping your perspectives as an adult, a place where you'll make lifelong friends to a platform that builds a strong enough foundation to get you ready for the cold... cold world out there.

As mere teenagers, we were expected to decide on a career path almost too soon. Yet, many of us recall being excited about the prospects of going to university and putting in the work, time and effort to go through the university applications cycle and college interviews.
