“Everyone is a runner” this is one of Warren’s (Woz’s) quotes to people who don’t consider themselves runners. Woz is the coach of the Eastern suburbs “The Run Squad,” but is so much more than that. In this episode, we discuss Woz’s running history, from the infancy of triathlon to having his life turned on its head after being diagnoses with a heart condition. Woz’s story is one of hope, despite the setbacks he’s had; we talk about how he’s overcome them, and how everyone else can overcome their setbacks as well. Over the weekend The Run Squad ran the Relay for Hope, a mammoth 2-day relay all around Sydney where along the way they ran past almost 100 members of the squad’s houses, picking them up along the way. This was all to raise money for the nurses at the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation and St Vincents Hospital Sydney, where two of the members work. They have nearly raised $20,000 which is incredible, so let’s help them get there, the links are below to the donation pages, and to the run squad. Hope you enjoyed the episode!
