What Makes a Brand So Great?

There is always that one brand we think of that, in our own opinion, knocks it out of the park. Nike, Apple, Amazon . . . they are kids at the popular table in the cafeteria. What makes them so great?

  1. Strong brand identity: A clear and consistent visual representation, messaging, and tone sets the brand apart from competitors.
  2. Emotional connection: The ability to create an emotional relationship with customers and build loyalty.
  3. Reputation: A positive reputation built on delivering high-quality products or services, ethical practices, and strong customer service.
  4. Customer focus: A deep understanding of target audience needs and a commitment to delivering value and meeting those needs.
  5. Consistency: Consistent delivery of products or services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  6. Adaptability: The ability to evolve and stay relevant in a changing market, while remaining consistent to the core brand identity.
  7. Differentiation: A unique positioning in the market that sets the brand apart from competitors.
  8. Strong leadership: Effective leadership that drives the brand vision, strategy, and growth.

So, we know what makes a brand great . . . Yippee!  But, let’s dig a little deeper. How did they originally become that way?

The Guardians of Branding

Elements of a brand, in a way, are protectors. They shield out any lack of clarification and diminishes any misconceptions behind a brand.

Elements of Branding

  1. Brand name: A unique name that represents your brand and helps consumers recognize it. (Promote upcoming episodes with Mtich)
