This episode dives into a very common query among animal guardians: how does my new pet feel about their new home and life with me?
I offer one of my favourite perspectives on the subject, something I learned from fellow animal intuitive Shayleigh Evans, which is that animals are here having their very own life and soul's journey just like us. We can learn a lot by being curious and open to the wisdom of their paths, and by avoiding projecting our own fears and concerns onto them. I talk about how to approach the 'getting to know you' phase with respect and thoughtfulness, using the example of my foster (now adopted!) cat Scooter and our story. I also share some insight as to what to do when your animal is more timid and reserved, and what this can mean in terms of what your animal needs during the transition time between homes.
This conversation is here to remind you that being curious is what builds trust in a human-animal relationship, and that chances are, once this adjustment period is over, you're going to have a wonderful best friend by your side!
Listen through to the end for an exciting announcement regarding a new bonus for pet poetry commissions.
