Are you considering a career change? Determining your “why” is the first step in making a successful transition.
Perhaps you're seeking more work-life balance, but long hours and frequent travel are interfering with your personal life. Or maybe your industry is no longer attractive to you, but transitioning as a senior executive can be challenging and you have no idea of how to identify these companies.
One helpful solution and actionable strategy is to search for individuals with similar roles and backgrounds to yours on LinkedIn, particularly those who have transitioned from your industry. By analyzing the companies, they currently work for, you can gain valuable insights into potential opportunities for yourself. Reach out to these individuals and request to network, offer something in return. I.e: "I noticed we both worked for company “ABC” and it would be great to connect and “explore mutual synergies, are you an open networker?"
