The way in which we treat people as believers is a representation of Christ on earth. In the book of 2nd James we are encouraged to not show favoritism in the way which we treat people as the scripture explains, for instance how you would treat a man "covered" in gold as compared to a poor man. Basically how we have a tendency of treating someone according to the esteem they have in our minds and how this is not according to the Lords wishes and teachings.
