Mainstream media and politicians alike are (rightfully so) making headlines of our current opioid epidemic. Out the of the bright lights and tucked away from everyday conversation, there is a multi-billion dollar industry pushing anti-depressants and Benzodiazepines as the solution to our mental health crisis. On the 151st anniversary of the Great Chicago fire and the fire in Peshtigo Wisconsin, maybe we can draw some insights, wisdom or just reflect on the future of our collective mental health.
