She’s wanted to become an astronaut since she was 5 years old. While not scheduled to fly, she continues to vigorously study the untold secrets of the cosmos.
The English-born professor has become a leading eclipse expert, having first helped prepare the U.S. public and media for the total solar eclipses that took place in 2017 and 2024.
