All businesses are required to have insurance in order to trade. Some policies include a provision that allows you to be reimbursed for lost income due to certain circumstances. This is called business interruption cover.
At the time of recording a huge test case was about to finish considering to what extent these policies will be liable to pay businesses millions of pounds for interruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
