Jay, a 23-year-old Thai-German, is taking his first solo trip to Thailand, where he was born but hasn’t visited since childhood. Though he only knows a few Thai phrases, he’s excited to explore the culture and finally taste authentic Thai food, especially “Kao Pad Kra Pao.” At the airport, his dad and girlfriend, Joy, wish him a safe trip, and Joy tells him she’ll miss him while he’s away.
เจ หนุ่มลูกครึ่งไทย-เยอรมันวัย 23 ปี กำลังจะเดินทางไปประเทศไทยคนเดียวเป็นครั้งแรก ประเทศที่เขาเกิดแต่ไม่ได้กลับไปเยือนตั้งแต่ยังเด็ก แม้ว่าเขาจะรู้ภาษาไทยเพียงไม่กี่คำ แต่เขาก็ตื่นเต้นที่จะได้สัมผัสวัฒนธรรมและลองชิมอาหารไทยแท้ๆ โดยเฉพาะข้าวผัดกะเพรา ที่เขาอยากลองมานานแล้ว ที่สนามบิน พ่อกับแฟนสาวของเขา จอย อวยพรให้เขาเดินทางปลอดภัย และจอยบอกว่าเธอจะคิดถึงเขามากในช่วงที่เขาไม่อยู่
